Pancake Day 2025

On the first day of spring, the foundation’s team celebrated Shrovetide with friends from home for the elderly and disabled in the village Peremoga.

These really friendly and useful meetings warm us up, help us to get to know new residents, support old residents, and gather information about current needs.

Today, we have a request from the administration for bedside tables for dining for the elderly who cannot go to the dining room and eat in their rooms. We need to replace those that are out of order.  We also need to buy more of them as the number of people in need of such furniture increases.  We have taken photos and video of the request, and are preparing an announcement to raise funds. Please support us.

We had a fun and energetic discussion with Valera, a master of weaving eco-mats, about the materials he uses for his hobby. It is known that the craftsman is limited by the colors and quantity of used T-shirts and other knitwear he collects. So he “complained” that recently more and more monochrome rugs have been created due to the fashion for black, gray and white things. He asked us to add some colorful things, he wants to create bright products.

We have received a new collection of poetry from Nadiya Hryhorivna Krasnozhen. We are passing the manuscript to Tetiana Konstantinivna, a colleague in the author’s literary union, for typing and editing. We hope that soon Nadiya’s work will please her fans.

We have several more requests for glasses, medicines and goodies from our friends. We will keep you informed. Thank you for helping to support a decent and joyful life for the elderly and people with disabilities!
